The field of competitors for the 2018 NCAA Division III Championship Meet was announced on Sunday and Lake Forest College's Jorge Villanueva is one of 56 runners who will compete as individuals.

Sophomore Yaneli Guajardo and senior Jorge Villanueva posted top-10 finishes on Saturday as the Forester cross country team began its season in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at St. Norbert College's Tom Barry Invitational.

The season-opening Joe Ardito Contenders Handball Tournament is the only sporting event here at the College this week.

The annual Forester Invitational cross country meet will be held at nearby Foss Park Golf Course on Friday.

Lake Forest College cross country runner Jorge Villanueva was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after making history at Saturday's NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships.

Senior Jorge Villanueva Posted the 13th-fastest 8-kilometer time in program history while finishing as the runner-up in Friday's Forester Invitational. The Lake Forest men and women each placed third out of five complete teams in the standings.
