Director of Athletics Jackie Slaats made the exciting announcement Tuesday that Lake Forest College will be adding men's and women's indoor and outdoor track to its slate of varsity programming. The teams are set to begin competing in 2017-18.

Lake Forest College cross country runner Cassie Lira was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after posting the best finish in program history at Saturday's NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Meet.

Junior Jonathan Stern ran the third-fastest 8-kilometer time in program history as the Lake Forest men's cross country team finished 18th and the women 17th at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday.
